An unexpected long journey :)

Hey Hobbit-Fans out there,

This is my latest drawing. Just finished it a few days ago. I bought the tickets for the new Hobbit film about one month before. In anticipation to see the preview of it on 12th this month (such a great film ) I designed this drawing. I think most references I used come from the first LotR films. Only Gandalf seems to be right from the Hobbit.

I decided to make my boyfriend a present of it. In the beginning I wanted to draw it with pencils and after it to colorize it with airbrush. Because of that there are not many contrasts in it (you can see the order of the drawing. In the end I didn´t stand to draw it with all shadows and contrasts ). After few days I recognized that there is no chance to finish the coloured version til chrismas eve. So I think he will get it this way and can say, if he wants it to be with coloures or to be with more contrasts. I will overwork it then.
